History

Since being founded, SHINIH has been making constantly efforts to enter the global market. We now have 16 facilities located in 6 countries around the world, including Taiwan, Mainland China, Southeast Asia and The United States.

OUR STORY: A TIMELINE OF SHINIH

1962

Established the first Shinih® manufacturing plant in Banqiao, Taiwan.

1971 - 2014

Continued the business expansion in Taiwan: Guishan -> Yilan -> Puzi -> Guantian -> Bade

1984

An authorization agreement signed with Dupont to manufacture Dupont’s products.

1988

Founded Kureha Taiwan, a joint venture formed with Kureha Japan.

1991 - 1992

Patented VFT was successfully developed, and applied for patents in more than 20 countries.

1993 - 2014

Expanded to Mainland China. Established plants across the country.
Suzhou -> Dongguan -> Hangzhou -> Tangshan -> Qingdao -> Hubei -> Kunshan

1994

Shinih and Dupont signed an agreement for a global strategic alliance to manufacture and market VFT products.

1997 - 2008

First expansion to the United States
VFT Inc. -> American Nonwovens Inc. -> MS Nonwoven, Inc.

1998

Signed with Dupont China to manufacture and distribute the Somerelle bedding products.

1999

VFT (Vertical Folding Technology) received the National Inventions Award in Taiwan.

2001

Founded Kureha Thailand, a joint venture formed with Kureha Japan. Established filaments and spunlace production lines.

2002

Shinih® Enterprise was listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange. Started the expansion to the Southeast Asian market:
Thailand -> Vietnam -> Cambodia -> Indonesia

2008

Named under Forbes Asia Best 200 Under A Billion.

2011

Signed with Toyobo Japan, which acquired Kureha Japan, on melt blown cooperation agreement.

2014-2016

China Taicang plant and Vietnam Cu Chi plant were awarded STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX accreditation in 2014 and 2016 respectively

2019

Bade plant in Taiwan attained the bluesign® certification, while Vietnam plant was awarded the accreditation in 2021.

2019

Received 2021 ISPO Textrends’ “Top Five” and “Selection” awards of Fibers and Insulations category.

2020

Plants in Bade (Taiwan), Taicang (China), Cu Chi and Ha Noi (Vietnam) and Indonesia received the GRS – Global Recycled Standard certification.

2021

Formed a strategic alliance with Toyobo’s spunbond department.
